When Businesses Grow, Structure Must Keep Pace

A people-first management system for founder-led organisations facing growth strain, transition, or internal friction.

You have strong operators, high standards, and hardworking teams, yet decision rights are not fully defined, leadership meetings become reactive, and too much responsibility returns to the founder.

Over time, this creates friction, slows execution, and places unnecessary strain on capable people.

The Working Together framework restores structural clarity, aligns governance with execution, and enables disciplined, coordinated progress.

Download the framework and assess whether your leadership structure is supporting your growth — or quietly constraining it.

About the guide

The Working Together System emerged from practical experience rather than theory.

Across complex organisations, similar structural patterns emerge. Strategy exists, yet priorities compete. Capable people work hard, yet effort does not always translate into progress. Decisions are made, but alignment across teams is inconsistent.

This guide sets out a way of addressing these issues by focusing on how leaders and teams think, communicate, and make decisions together.

It is written for senior leaders and business owners who prefer clarity over slogans and substance over speed.

The guide is concise, reflective, and intended to be read without urgency.

About my work

Since 2007, I have worked with boards and leadership teams in complex, high-accountability environments — including aviation operators, aircraft management firms, and asset-intensive organisations.

My work focuses on helping organisations think clearly, work together more effectively, and make decisions grounded in evidence rather than assumption.

The Working Together System provides a structured way to examine leadership, alignment, and performance without reliance on quick fixes or generic frameworks.

Aviation Leaders on Working Together

Thank you again for a wonderful day, you were excellent as a trainer and so much good discussion came from your "Working Together" system. Love working with you. Onwards and upwards!

- Andrew Hoy, CEO, Affinity Aviation Group UK

As an excellent listener, Guy hears what you tell him and then, in clear and eloquent language, Guides and coaches you to maximise the result. I benefitted from Guy’s coaching skills when I needed to extract myself from a tricky situation and with his support I was able to solve the problem without conflict and with all parties respecting one another - a result I couldn’t have envisaged prior to contacting him

Jason Mulcock, Founding Partner, The JetTeam & MPlanes, Geneva, Switzerland

It was a real pleasure meeting you in person and thanks to your “challenge and support” we made really good progress.

Mikael Borenholts, Net Flight Air Services AB, Sweden

I’m genuinely grateful for all the wisdom and advice you’ve shared. Your mentorship has been invaluable to me and your guidance has made a significant difference in my life and that of my family. Behind every successful person is a mentor who believes in them first. Thank you for being that person for me.

Craig Middleton, Universal Aviation, UK

I wanted to thank you for your professional and very skilful handling of a potentially sensitive situation. I have been writing my board report and boy did we pack in a lot over three days. Your guidance on Strategic Planning and bringing the team together has been invaluable. I truly enjoyed my time with you and look forward to a long relationship.

Fred Harris, Managing Board Member, East Winds Resort, St Lucia
